From Split: Krka National Park Day Trip with Boat Ride

1. From Split: Krka National Park Day Trip with Boat Ride

Make the most of your time in Croatia with a day trip to Krka National Park, one of the country’s most beautiful natural hotspots. See everything from waterfalls to medieval towns along the way.  Meet your guide and driver in Split before heading out to Skradin. Catch a relaxing boat ride to Krka National Park from here, with guaranteed unforgettable vistas on the way.   Once on the other side, benefit either from a roughly 1-hour complimentary guided tour of Krka, or the freedom to explore on your own. Either way, enjoy extra time after the optional guided tour to explore.  Whether it’s of flowing waterfalls at Skrandinski Buk, or historical flour mills, or wood trails, snap some photo opportunities of the unbelievable scenic views in front of you.  If you are traveling during the high season (June-September), board a bus to the postcard-worthy town of Primošten. Enjoy a couple of hours in this medieval island town to swim, chill, eat, sample wine tasters, or take a scenic stroll.  Some of Croatia’s best voted beaches are native to Primošten, and its vineyards are even on the UNESCO World Heritage sites’ waiting list. During the low season, when the weather is too cold for swimming, visit the picturesque city of Šibenik, famous for it impressive historical fortresses and known as a gateway to the National Park Kornati. Finish off the day with a transfer back to Split in time for the early evening.

2. Kornati Archipelago: Boat Tour

Enjoy a day on the water exploring the islands and beaches of Kornati National Park, the Kornati archipelago in Croatia. Get picked up from locations in Vodice, Šibenik, or from Šibenik’s Solaris Hotel Ivan and choose between a group tour or a private tour. After checking in with the crew at your meeting point, prepare to enjoy panoramic views of the St. Anthony Channel and Šibenik islands on the way to the Kornati archipelago. First, stop at Mana, one of the many islands in the Kornati archipelago. Marvel at views of the cliffs from the sea, a wild beach, and clear water. Continue your journey through the archipelago by visiting the next island, Levrnaka. On Levrnaka sits Lojena Beach, the only real natural sandy beach on the Kornati islands. The boat will leave you on the northeastern side of the island, next to a restaurant in case you would like to have some coffee or food. Lojena Beach is within walking distance of the restaurant. Next, stop at Kornat Island, home to a charming local restaurant called Konoba, where you will have an hour and a half to have lunch next to the sea for affordable prices. Finally, visit Zlarin. Due to its geographical position, the island is seen as St. Anthony Channel’s gatekeeper and the guardian of Šibenik. Use your free time to enjoy the pebble beaches with sand under your feet as soon as you enter the sea. Just before sunset, head back to the starting point of the tour.

What people are saying about Šibenik

We had a fantastic day out. The tour was well organised and allowed us to spend the day relaxing. The National Park is a must see and was even better in the Autumn time with the change of season showing in the trees and the low season meant it was nice and quiet! Ivanna, our tour guide, was very knowledgable and always available for any questions we had. She also offered local recommendations for food which we really appreciated. All in all a fantastic tour and I would definitely recommend!

Our guide Katya is friendly and knowledgeable about The Game of Thrones and its characters. She shows us the sites where certain scenes were filmed, proofed with related pictures in her hand. She saved the best for last - The Walk of Shame, and more... but I'm not gonna spoil it. So book her and find out!

A nice experience - at least in the off-season. It was a wonderful tour, during which you learned a lot, which was due to the dedicated guide Ines, who talked about her home country with a lot of humor and heart. Everything went very reliably.

Ljubo was an excellent guide - knowledgable, engaging and kept to the time. Overall an amazing experience, would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience. Beautiful natural wonder. Guide was informative and very hospitable.
