Andrew was knowledgeable of the area and the Japanese culture. My main concern was to get acclimated of the area I was in and locating the meeting points of my future tours. Very helpful. I highly recommend hiring a private guide upon arrival, especially if you’re a solo traveler. Two hours is too short of time if you want to go to various sites. Depending on where you’re staying. I was in Umeda. Thank you Andrew for your fine hospitality!

I wanted to have a later night type tour, so I booked it to start at 8. Turned out to be a mistake since the lines were insane for all the famous spots, and by the time we went back to try again they spots had closed. Fumiko was amazing though, and she rolled with it and found back ups that were also delicious! Loved the whole tour around Dotombori with my friend for the evening!

A most informative and beautiful morning. Andrew was great. We are getting on in age and a small group couldn't have been better. As we are gardeners the gardens always appeal to us but Andrew gave a comprehensive description of the history of both religious beliefs and the content of how the gardens were formed. I came away with a greater knowledge and am always ready to learn.

My mother and I visited Osaka and felt we needed a local guide to help us navigate the city and provide some background on the locations we wanted to visit. Our guide Juan was absolutely fantastic. He was knowledgeable, friendly, organized, flexible and pleasant. He made our visit one we will always remember. I wish all guides were so great. I cannot recommend him enough.

Our guide, Haruhi, was very knowledgeable, conversational, and fun! We really enjoyed seeing the large variety of foods that are sold in Osaka, and hearing the tradition behind them as explained by our guide. Kuromon market is a must go. Also really loved the yakisoba!
