Wang’s compound is basically a family castle. Very good example of how a wealthy family group lived over multiple generations. I loved the craftsmanship and detailing - there are some really beautiful spaces. The temple is wonderful because the statues are all original - which is unusual due to the cultural revolution. The statues are faded and showing their age, but on quite an impressive scale. In both locations Lily’s knowledge was excellent. She shared a lot of cool details that I would never have known or studied and really enriched the experience. Car was good and drove really safely. Recommend this tour. Note it finishes about 3 so you’ll have some spare time in the afternoon. Also, loads of steps and walking.

A van picked us at the train station at 6 am, although the tour was not started until 8:30. They took us to a KFC where we can wash our face and get some breakfast after spending the night in a train :) Our guide was kind, helpful and really nice! They explained everything we need to know, and even showed us the spots where we could take the best photos. Thanks!

Very interesting places

These places are pretty amazing! The place was comfortable, and the information was very good. Lunch was noodle soup, not a favorite food of ours, but a local specialty. The fee didn't include entrance tickets and lunch, but these were small expenses. The car was very comfortable.

Nancy is an excellent guide and a wonderful person! Her explanations together with the beauty of the scenery and the culture created an experience that i highly recommend!!..
