The bus trip was comfortable but it was a full size bus and it took an hour just to pick up everyone from about ten hotels in Seville. A light commentary was given by the guide en route but it wasn’t always easy to understand her heavy Spanish accent. The tour of the Alcazar and mosque cathedral was excellent. Paqui, our tour guide in Cordoba, was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. She was careful to warn people about steps and uneven footing. The downside is that you walk and listen for four solid hours with only a short bathroom break and don’t get to look for lunch till afterwards. We were really hungry and thirsty and saturated with info by then, so take a snack with you and lots to drink. They give you time to shop at the end (1-1/2 hrs) so you can explore the expensive touristy shops around the cathedral but don’t have enough time to walk into the city centre to explore. An expensive activity but good.

My sister and I recently took the day trip from Seville to Cordoba, an easy 1 1/2 hour drive from Seville. We were met by our guide, Angel (a wonderful name!), and had a short visit to see the Roman mosaics in the small alcazar, followed by a walking tour of the ancient Jewish quarter and a visit to the piece de resistance -- the stunning Moorish/Christian Cordoba Cathedral, which is absolutely not to be missed. Angel was engaging and informative and really brought the history of the cathedral alive. A terrific guide and tour. We were back in Seville by 6:00, so plenty of time to get ready for a tapas meal out.

Excellent tour. Right from the operators who picked us up and drove us to Cordoba to the actual guide who showed us around, everything worked like clock work. Angel, our guide in Cordoba, was very well informed, and very friendly, making for an enjoyable day. Highly recommend.
