Full description
Depart Seoul and journey towards the Taebaek mountain range in Seoraksan National Park to enjoy a nature hike on Seoraksan Mountain. Follow the Baekdam Valley to the Buddhist temple of Baekdamsa, where visitors can experience the Buddhist culture through the temple stay programs. Get stunning views of the mountain landscape from the 3rd highest mountain in Korea. Then, journey back in time more than 1,300 years and visit the ancient Naksansa Temple just north of Naksan Beach. Built by the ambassador to the 30th king of the Silla Period (57 BC - 935 AD), the magnificent complex features several cultural icons, including the Seven Story Stone Tower and the Uisangdae Pavilion, where the ambassador used to sit and meditate.   Marvel at the black bamboo trees and tiled earthen walls that greet visitors who enter through the Hongyaemun Gate. Return to Seoul and get dropped off in the city center on arrival.

My time at Mt. Seoraksan was great. I was quite keen to hike the route that has a bit more length, so i skipped the cable car, and hiked up to the Geumganggul Cave (in a fairly fast pace in order to return in time to catch the bus for the next destination) , really glad I did it.

The mountain was amazing! Had many hours to spend there. The temple was a little lack-lustre as we were tired out from hours of hiking. If you enjoy hiking this is a trip for you! I will definitely need to go back to Mt Seoraksan! Our guide, Hakim, was very attentive to any issues we had along the way.

Super well organized from beginning to end. The tour was fantastic! Mira, our tour guide, was spectacularly accomodating and responsive to any inquiries. Seoraksan was beautiful, if only we could have stayes longer than 3.5hours! Naksansa Temple had a lovely view of the East Sea. All around, I would recommend this tour package!
