    1. Batu Caves & Firefly Watching in Kuala Selangor

Enjoy an afternoon and evening tour to the dramatic 400-million-year-old Batu Caves and see hundreds of thousands of twinkling fireflies on a boat tour of the Selangor River. Continue to Batu Caves to roam in the prehistoric caves, after a climb of 272 steps. See some of the Hindu temples that have been established here since the early 1900s, such as the temples to Lord Murugan, Siva, and Ganesh. Next, you will go to Kuala Selangor, one of the most historic and conflicted areas during the early stages of the Malay Sultanate Selangor. It is also famous for its Seafood Restaurant, where you will enjoy dinner. We had a fantastic day! The Batu Caves are amazing, a must see for anyone visiting KL. Anuar was a wonderful host, who provided us with a fantastic and memorable day. The silver leaf monkeys were adorable, I could have strayed with them all day. Make sure you bring an easy change of clothes, because the monkeys will jump onto your shoulders and you will get dirty. The fireflies were lovely and Anuar went above and beyond to try and avoid the large tourist crowds.

Chandra of Ivy Holidays conducted the tour. He is very knowledgeable and gave us a pleasant commentary on our journey. The cave, temples, monkeys and rather challenging steps made for an excellent and recommended trip.
