Chania: Akrotiri, Seitan Beach, and Agia Triada Boat Tour

1. Chania: Akrotiri, Seitan Beach, and Agia Triada Boat Tour

Explore the wonders of the Akrotiri Peninsula on a private tour from Chania with a local guide. Begin your day with pickup at your accommodation in Chania, then head to the scenic Seitan Limania Beach. Admire picturesque views of the beach from the clifftop, or hike down to the sand and go for a swim in the sea. From there, move on to the Agia Triada Monastery, also known as the Holy Trinity. Explore this 17th-century monastery and marvel at its Byzantine-style architecture. Wander around the monastery's many gardens and learn about its religious importance throughout history and the present day. Discover how the monastery’s monks produce olive oil and wine, then enjoy a tasting session. Afterward, travel to the famous Stavros Beach, known for its perfect swimming conditions. Cool off from the heat with a dip in the sea, or sunbathe on the sand. Once you've worked up a bit of an appetite, dine on a traditional Cretan lunch served by the beach. At the end of your adventure, relax on the return journey to your accommodation.

Chania Town: Private RIB Cruise to Akrotiri & Seitan Limania

2. Chania Town: Private RIB Cruise to Akrotiri & Seitan Limania

Enjoy a full day at the sea with a private boat trip departing from Chania. Head eastwards to the Akrotiri peninsula. Your first stop is the small, secluded, sandy beach of Macherida. The beach is named after the wild gladioli (gladiolus italicus) that grow in the fields behind the beach during the spring. Later continue towards the sandy, protected beach of Stavros, well-known from the 1960's film “Zorba the Greek” that made Greece attractive to visitors. After a swim (and maybe a dance?) the boat will circle the north side of the land to reach the narrow creek of Katholiko, at the mouth of the narrow and impressive gorge.. the deep blue sea invites you to cool off! Next up, is Seitan Limania beach, where you will enjoy the turquoise water from the boat, away from the crowds. Afterward, the boat reaches Marathi island and its beach, a wonderful place to enjoy lunch (not included onboard). Later in the afternoon, the skipper will take the group back to the old port of Chania and on the way you might see turtles if you´re lucky!
