Porto: Scandola, Girolata, and Calanches of Piana Boat Trip
- Small group
- Duration: 3 hours
We booked the full package for Scandola, Girolata and Calanche de Piana Boat Cruise. Our boat cruise was split into two days (afternoon and next day morning) due to a special event later on the day we booked, but it is definitely worth it. We were one of the only few people who doesn't speak French however the captain still provided ample information in English that we didn't feel like being left out. Highly recommend this boat cruise.
The comments from the skipper were rich and interesting. The boat was full, therefore not easy to look everything he was mentioning. We felt uncomfortable being dropped 30mn to this small fishing village. We felt as if “you have 30mn to spy on how people live there, and rush back to the boat”. Unnecessary in the trip.
The views are amazing and you have time enough to contemplate all the beautiful landscape of scandola and the calanques. But we will loved to have the guide’s explanations in english, we dont understand french so we missed this part. Even though it was really funny. Thanks!
Everything as planned, good explanations and tidy boat, but but I'd suggest a smaller one with a smaller group so you can get a more human experience, dive from the boat (we went to swim on the beach stop) and see the calanques closer.
Great close up views of the geology of the area but the commentary was not clear so it was difficult to pick up a lot of the information. Expected more wildlife with it being a nature reserve.
