What people are saying about São Miguel Island

Bike rental place was great, very accommodating. I will have to say that Get Your Guide does have some issues themselves, as there was a discrepancy between what our reservation was for (bikes) and what was on the computer to the actual facility (kayaks), which was generated from Get Your Guide. Fortunately the facility could accommodate, but it was a bit tricky to figure out what the problem was.

The tour was definitely worth the price, which was mainly due to the super friendly guide who was able to tell a lot about his own experiences as an emigrant. We were also able to make acquaintances for the holiday and get one or the other tip for other activities.

The cultural information was great as was the food. We went to several different venues, including a farmers market to try a variety of food. Rafael was friendly, funny and informative.

Very nice to cross the lake with the sup. There was uncertainty about the length of the rent of the sup with the landlord. So a print of your ticket is advisable
