Very chaotic at the port on the way back where we had to wait a while for our coach. There were too many passengers on the boat and not enough coaches waiting for us at the port to carry on with the trip. Bad organisation and the poor guide had to keep phoning to organise one more large coach for all the passengers who had to wait at the port at the end of a very long day!

The tour overall was satisfactory but feels so rushed given 10-12 time period. I get that it depends on the weather etc., especially making it to the Oia Sunset but not enough down time except when on the boat. Also, pictures do TOO MUCH justice because the water and temperature at the sulfur waters are inaccurate. With a 2 hour down time in Thirassia, you’ll be wasting time if you order at the busy restaurants. Food takes a while to come out. It was worth the money though but be prepared for weather conditions and getting enough rest the next day because we were BEAT!

Not to a great start - bus was 38 minutes late and we started to worry if he will ever show up (and there were 10 of us!) That was the only negative part though. We had a FANTASTIC guide (Christos) and crew. Due to higher traffic, our tour started with a swim and hot springs, followed by the volcano climb and later lunch at Thirassia island. Again, I need to stress how great our guide, Christos, was - very friendly, knowledgeable, professional with infectious positive energy, he really made this trip memorable. The day ended up by stop in Oia, watching the sunset. This part was however not done from the boat, rather by a bus transfer from the port to Oia. All in all, it was a great excursion, even though with a rough start ... Would I recommend ? YES, absolutely !
