The vineyard is lovely and the tour was very nice. However the driver was 20 minutes late and the tour was shorter than advertised. Would have liked some extra time at Santa Rita to enjoy the museum.

Purchased this tour the night before and received a quick email response to confirm that Henry, our driver, would collect us from our hotel in the morning. He provided us with interesting commentary on the journey & great conversation (excellent English). Matetic has an organic ethos & a charming situation. Our group was joined at the vineyard by some Spanish speakers but the vineyard'sguide provided information for both audiences. The showcase wine cellar was a clever design! After walking around learning about the process, we moved indoors for tasting. 4 glasses, 2 white & 2 red with bread & water & good explanation on each. We didn't leave without a visit to the shop where some good offers were available. Henry drove us back to Santiago stopping off at a wine warehouse with some additional 'tasting & food options. The day lasted longer than the advertised 5 hrs, more like 6.5 hrs, possibly due to the morning traffic. Well worth it though as we thoroughly enjoyed our day.

  • From Santiago: Maipo Valley Wine Tour

    5. From Santiago: Maipo Valley Wine Tour

Benefit from pickup in Santiago and then journey to the Maipo Valley to sample different wines from the acclaimed wine growing region. Learn more about the wine-making process and explore the historic cellars of wine estates, such as Concha y Toro, Santa Rita, Aquitania, Undurraga, or Cousiño Macul. Get a wine glass as a keepsake and compare the difference between the vineyards, each with its own unique character. If option is chosen, enjoy lunch at a restaurant before continuing with your wine tasting experience. Choose the option to get dropped off at your hotel or a location in central Santiago, if you would like to visit the Costanera Center complex.

Great private tour. We only got two wineries in because of an incident at the third but I was more than happy with that and we got a swift and fair reimbursement. Driver’s English was good enough that we had no issues with communication.

The experience at Cajón del Maipo y Embalse el Yeso was spectacular. The whole tour was carried out in an unguarded and responsible way and the guides gave a history and geology lesson. These guides were the differential of the tour, first, for the safety that the driver Leo took us to the places, and second for all the promptness, friendliness and didactics of the guide Yuri when passing his knowledge. I recommend!!!! Having no doubt that it is the best agency.

The punctual bus, the guide very responsible and fun. Very intelligent since he informed us spectacularly in 3 different languages, being passengers from different countries. And we were all very happy. The beautiful place I recommend it !!

Excellent experience! Gorgeous scenery on a gorgeous day! Alejandro (and Francisco behind the wheel) were great — very knowledgeable and personable!

Very nice trip with Yuri ! He explained us a lot about the area, the Andes range and Cajon del Maipo. Very interesting, I highly recommend it !

Our guide Yuri was fantastic! He knows everything about Andes and Canyon. Highly recommended.
