Admire the stunning massifs, estuaries and rivers of the Andes Mountains on a full-day tour of the Cajon del Maipo. Depart Santiago and journey to San Jose de Maipo as you hear the folklore of the area from your English-speaking guide. Head towards the volcano and see small towns such as Las Vertientes, El Canelo, El Manzano, El Melocoton and San Alfonso. Learn the history of the Tinoco Tunnel as you make your way along a dirt road to the large lake of Embalse del Yeso. Your tour will begin as you are collected from your accommodation, from where you will board a coach destined for the coastal towns of Valparaiso and Viña del Mar. Once in Valparaiso, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will embark on a panoramic tour of the port and Plaza Sotomayor (Sotomayor Square). Following your tour, you will ascend to the summit of the Concepción and Alegre Hills using traditional elevators. Concha y Toro is Latin America's leading wine producer, with exports to 170 countries. The vineyard was founded in 1883 by Chilean politician and businessman Melchor de Concha y Toro. The winery is the producer of the famous Casillero del Diablo and offers iconic wines such as Don Melchor and Marques de Casa Concha. Following a pickup from your hotel in Santiago, embark on a 1.5-hour drive to the Vineyard. Once you've arrived, you will meet your guide who will give you a tour in your selected language. Your guide will walk through the beautiful gardens of the 19th-century summer residence of the Concha y Toro family. Enjoy around 30 minutes of free time to visit the wine shop and see the variety of local products offered by Concha y Toro. Explore the vineyards and the wine cellars of the renowned winery of Cousiño Macul. Discover the Chilean wine-making tradition as you get acquainted with the history of the winery and wine production.
