We were in Walvis Bay, Namibia, with AIDAaura on Wednesday, January 4th, 2023. There we were picked up punctually at 12.45 p.m. by our guide -Marius van Zyl- at the port directly at the ship. He is multilingual and speaks German, Dutch, African or English. From here we started the approx. 120 km long 4x4 adventure tour along the salt lagoons, the beach and off-road through the high dunes of the Namib Desert. For us it was a unique experience, the whole thing was sweetened with a delicious picnic by the sea and the sighting of many wild animals such as flamingos, pelicans, geckos, seals, ostriches, jackals and springbok. Marius told us a lot about the country and its people. We can recommend the tour with him at any time, he is really TOP!

Marius, our German-speaking guide, was just great! He even dug in the sand several times to find a Gekko. Had a delicious lunch in the middle of the dunes. We also learned a lot about the country and its people. The tour offered a lot: flamingos, red water from the salt, long drive through Sandwich Harbor with great views, gekko and other animals seen, sporty drive through the dunes, viewpoints on the dunes, lunch in the middle of the dunes. Simply everything included

Absolutely brilliant tour, lots of stops to take pictures of animals and beautiful nature. Then a breathtaking dune drive, then a sunset picnic with sparkling wine, Namibian oysters and very tasty snacks. We can recommend the tour!

Wonderful experience! Our guide was immensely hospitable, endearing and knowledgeable. Gorgeous scenery and wildlife. An exhilarating drive with the 4x4 up and down the magnificent dunes. Tasty snacks and drinks too.

All-round successful experience with cool guides! We recommend!
