What people are saying about San Pedro de Atacama

Overall rating

based on 2 reviews

Canyoning in San Pedro de Atacama, Chile was definitely the highlight of our six week trip through South America. The tour was unique and differed greatly from the other, otherwise more touristy options. Canyoning offers you the opportunity to get to know and appreciate Chile from a completely different and less well-known side. The tour starts with a short hike to the first waterfalls. On the way you can see various cacti that were up to 300 years old and very impressive. Then the canyoning starts, an adventure for big and small. Gary and Nicholas are both fluent in English, however Nicholas is also fluent in German and Spanish. They are both very personable and attentive. They can also assess the guests relatively quickly and adjust the difficulty and speed accordingly. We always felt safe and would book this tour again at any time or can only heartily recommend it to everyone!

The tour is shown to start at the wrong place and wrong time totally. I recommend booking this with Pukarumi agency directly itself, not via GetYourGuide, they are not showing correct things. Also, you have time to book everything locally as well, the town is full with tour agencies to more places as well than this website shows.

This excursion was amazing! The guides were fantastic and shared history of the land, flora, and fauna as we trekked. They made the repels fun and easy! We absolutely recommend it!

It was an amazing tour and the guides were amazing. We had so much fun and felt safe during the whole tour even though none of us had ever tried it before!
