Full description

Go on an adventure to the rainforest and learn about different natural gems on this guided day trip. With courtesy transportation included, you can experience a journey of historical experiences.

Upon arriving at your destination, visit the east side of the El Yunque Rainforest to enjoy a short hike to the first waterfall. There, you can enjoy the landscape, swim in the water, rope swing, or free dive from multiple heights.

Further up the trail, there is another watering hole with a natural rock slide and cliff jump into the river. Learn about the history of the rainforest, iguanas, guava trees, bamboos, and 100-year-old trees. Marvel at nature and explore a Puerto Rican rainforest.

End your trip by having lunch at a local small family-owned restaurant that serves authentic grandma-style food for an additional cost. On this tour, you can enjoy a unique local experience with our team of local guides.

Our guides were Gian and Chuque (not sure if I’m spelling correctly), who were both great and enthusiastic. Gian told us about the different flora and fauna in El Yunque, which was appreciated. I enjoyed the three different water activities. The lunch place they took us was authentic and fantastic. Would recommend!

John and Joel were very nice and helpful with our entire group! We enjoyed the hike, the cliff jumps, the water slide, and the rope swing. I would recommend people wear shoes that they can hike in & get wet, and be sure to only wear a bathing suit on the hike, as you won’t really get a chance to take your clothes off before the water excursions.

What an adventure. I read reviews looking for info beforehand. Here is what I couldn’t find: this is a 7 hour activity! We left at 10am from a shopping center in PR in a 12 person van. The ride was an hour each way. Upon arrival, put on sunscreen (we didn’t find bug spray necessary), and hike with a life jacket. The hike up is less than 30 minutes. You can do a good job avoiding most mud if you want! You can wash off at different spots so it’s not a big deal. You can bring a backpack, etc up with you and just leave at the swim area (at your own risk). We didn’t find we needed towels at the swim pool, rock slides, rope swim. It was hot out. We just used them later when we changed. If you are a “eat lunch at noon” person, then bring a snack. We got back to the van around 2:45pm, so several hours at the water slides/pool/swing. Lots of other groups there, so some waiting in line. Expect to climb on all fours to get to the top- slippery/scary at times. Late lunch- lots of choices at stop!
