We were VERY LUCKY to have been give Dino as our Tour Guide! She was funny, informative, engaging and made you want to try everything - even the Turtle egg in tomato sauce! This was one of the BEST Walking tours I've experienced to date and such great value for money. I'm sure I ate and drank more than what I paid in fruit samples/Costa Rican pastry specialities/ coffee tasting/dulcet sweet drinks and the Team even threw in a cooking session as an added delight. Great sights with good historical context included the oldest Church in San Jose; the Los Presentes Monument and what it stood for; the 'fat' good luck bronze lady and what she means to so many Costa Ricans and so much more. Worth every penny and I can't recommend it enough.

This tour should not be missed when staying in San José! Our guide Angel showed us the best markets in town. It was super informative and featured everything from fresh local fruit, seafood and empanadas. There was also a coffee tasting with award-winning varieties. The highlight of the tour, however, came at the end: we were shown how to make empanadas and everyone was allowed to prepare one themselves. Thank you for this culinary experience

MUST DO! We spontaneously booked San Jose Bites & Sights Walking Tour 3hrs before the 3pm tour time for two. Our guide Angel did not disappoint. He was very informative of the local fruits, cuisine, culture, history, and answered our questions. He kept an easy chilled pace. Plenty of food to try along the way. The last (best) destination was their cafe that did not push us to buy anything. (Very nice, genuine). But rather taught us how to make plantain dessert, etc). Yum! (Cafe host Eric was sincerely the best!) Aaand as a special Halloween event (no extra cost) they had an award winning mixologist create a unique adult drink that each person got to help make. We are two American ladies who are very happy with this walking tour! Don’t miss out!
