Full description
After getting picked up at your hotel, head to the Irazú Volcano National Park where you can admire and even enter the crater of the highest volcano in the country. You will also be able to the experience the unique miniature fauna and flora of Paramo, a tropical dwarf forest nestled in the highlands. Afterward, take the back road to Turrialba Volcano. Here, visit the "Central Town" located at the foot of the volcano. On weekdays, pay a visit to the one-teacher school in the town. Enjoy some time to explore the eerily abandoned town, still filled with farmhouses and buildings. Next, stop for dinner at a family-run grill house for a traditional Costa Rican lunch. Finally, before beginning the drive back to San José, choose to explore one of two exciting options. Either visit the Basilica of the Angels Church in the middle of Cartago downtown and learn why it is visited by more than 1 million pilgrims each year or, if you're into coffee, visit the charming town of Aquiares, where the best coffee in the world is produced.

Amazing !!! awesome !!! This is the most beautiful tour of Costa Rica! Overview of the most beautiful places in the country, beautiful nature. With full immersion in the culture of the local people. Guide Carlos during the trip told a lot about nature features, plants, animals. He is a very friendly and wonderful driver!

Great tour. I just recommend it. Our tour guide was Jose. He was great, explained us a lot and he even had a book with animals to show them and give additional information. The tour was just for us. The thing that impressed me the most was on top of Irazu. It was really foggy so we walked to the forest. He saw an empty bottle on the ground and picked it up to recycle it properely ... Afterwards the fog disapeared and we could see the lake in the volcan.

We did not know when booking this was a personal 1 on 1 tour with just the guide/driver and us. It was simply an incredible day! We went places and experienced real Costa Rica with Marcelo other tours simply can’t do. We had a wonderful day and experienced sights other tours don’t offer. Thumbs up to this company for what they are offering for a great price.
