Cerro Catedral is the largest ski center in the southern hemisphere and offers an expansive list of winter sport services. It is open all year and has 34 means of lifts (between chairlifts, cabins, and towing equipment), facilitating the ascent of 36 thousand people per hour. In this tour, you will go to the ski center and have free time to explore and try out some sports. At the top of the mountain, enjoy beautiful views of the Nahuel Huapi and Gutiérrez lakes, the Andes mountain range, the Tronador hill, and the surrounding hills. With a wide range of gastronomic options and commercial establishments, there’s plenty to do even for those not so sport-inclined.  In winter, you’ll find everything you need for skiing and snowboarding: from equipment rentals to schools prepared to teach at all levels. In summer, check out the many adventure activities fit for the whole family — like climbing, trekking, mountain biking, rappelling, and more. 

Begin your trip with pickup from your hotel in central San Carlos de Bariloche and embark on a sightseeing tour of the city’s highlights. Take the traditional Chico circuit - a 60km route through stunning natural scenery and the wonderful Bariloche landscapes. First, discover different sections of the coast along the shores of the Nahuel Huapi and Moreno lakes. On Ezequiel Bustillo Avenue - arrive at Playa Bonita, where you can see Huemul Island. Head to Campanario Hill for an incredible panoramic view of all the lakes and hills. Make a stop here and feel free to purchase a ticket to ascend the ticket (not included). Next, pass by the iconic Llao Llao Hotel, as well as the San Eduardo Chapel, and Puerto Pañuelo. Continue the route through Llao Llao Municipal Park, crossing Angostura Bridge where the Moreno and Huapi lakes meet. Admire the view of Lopez Bay and Capilla Hill. From there, the Llao Llao Peninsula can be seen together with the surrounding lakes, a classic Bariloche postcard. Cross the Moreno Lake bridge to El Trébol Lagoon. Then, head to visit the Colonia Suiza - the first European settlement in the region. Taste the traditional curanto, an originally Araucanian meal that was introduced from Chile by Emilio Goye - one of the first settlers. Discover several tea houses and restaurants, handicraft businesses and an important craft fair. Finally, return to Bariloche where your tour concludes.

Head south from Bariloche on a magnificent journey to the town of El Bolsón. Pass by the Gutierrez and Mascardi lakes, then through the wilderness of Pampa del Toro and La Veranda, where you can take in views of the mighty Ñirihuau and Aspero mountain ranges. Cruise down a sinuous road through Cañadón de la Mosca. A few minutes later, arrive at the small village of Villegas River. Cross the Foyel River, the Quemquemtreu River, and arrive in El Bolsón, a tiny town nestled in a picturesque area at the foot of the Cerro Piltriquitron Mountain. At the local fair in the central square, discover amazing craftwork — proof that the local artisans have achieved an undeniable level of skill in working with wood, clay, metals, stones, dried flowers, among many other materials.  The market is famous throughout Patagonia and consists of more than 230 stands, where you can find wool, knives, preserves, pottery, and more. Spend the rest of your trip touring the ranches that produce fine fruit, jams, and organic processes, and/or visiting the Puelo Lake National Park. Head back to Bariloche after a relaxing day in the countryside.
