A good option if you plan to visit several museums

It is convenient to have one ticket which allows access to the most popular attractions in Salzburg. I used it for taking the tram up to the Hohensalzburg Fortress and joining the brief but interesting audio tour of the fortress. Then I used the pass to go to Mozart's Birthplace and Mozart's Residence. However, if you are not a super fan of Mozart / classical music, visiting these two places are actually very boring. These two museums, as in most museums featuring classical composers in Germany, are not for taste of the general public. I also found that the pass-holder would get a discount if he buys the tickets at the spot of some concerts (e.g. the Mirabell Palace concert, Residence concert). So I would suggest those interested in the concerts to buy the ticket at the time of the concert, rather buying it on-line in advance. I think how useful the 24-hour pass is would depend on what you are planning to do in Salzburg. For me, this is a good option.

Our 24 hour card was great value and very convenient, a no-brainer.

We went on bus 25 mid-morning to the Unterbergsbahn. The bus fare and cable car charge alone covered the cost of the card. On our return, we stopped off at the zoo and took the short walk to the Hellbrun Palace. The tour of the trick fountains is not to be missed. Back to town on bus 25, we took the river cruise and finished the afternoon with a visit to Mozart's home. The card was still valid the following morning long enough to go up the funicular to the Fortress, do the tour and back down again. We estimate the individual charges to the above would have amounted to over €100, 4 times what we paid!

A great way to experience the city in a short time

This tour was so convenient and it took us to places that were close to all of the main sites in the city. 45 minutes between buses allowed us enough time at most stops to take a look around and enjoy the scenary before moving on to the next location. Heidi was also very understanding when my bus ticket blew away and made sure I was still able to continue on with the day. If you don't particularly like being shuffled around constantly on guided tours and would rather see things at your own pace this is definitely a great option.

It’s excellent to save your money for traveling in Salzburg.

It’s very useful to save your money but it must be validated at only two places so I cannot go straight to Untersbergbahn directly but I must go to The tourist information center Mozartplaze for validation.

Very good value for money and a must have if you have very less time

Very good value for money and an excellent way to see the city, museums, etc when you don't have much time and with the free transport (even cable ride to the top of the mountain) its even better.
