    Taking place in the most magnificent room in the city - the Golden Hall in the 900 year-old Fortress Hohensalzburg - the "Mozart - Strauss Orchestra Concerts" are unique to Salzburg. The Mozart Chamber Orchestra of Salzburg is a highly professional and internationally sought-after chamber orchestra and plays in a line-up which regularly shifts in size. Deeply steeped in tradition, it predominantly performs the musical treasures of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Strauss.

    Good music experience in Salzburg although it wasn’t exactly inside the fortress as per the picture (as picture shows one of the State rooms) but on a hall under a restaurant at the fortress. Anyway environment was nice and you can get a brochure of the musical program if you asked for. Bear in mind to have some cash with you if you want to get a drink dung the 15min intermission. We didn’t had so we went dry… :( Program was mainly Mozart, Haydn and Straus played by a chord quintet.

    Excellent concert right inside the concert. The funicular entrance is included and very easy to find. Concert is well marked. The room is large but not a lot of seats, it felt very special ! Halfway through there is a break during sunset that is beautiful for photos out the window. I'm really glad I did it!

    The seven musicians (strings and clarinet) offered us an excellent concert. They were superb players and very comfortable with the audience. I offer the following remarks for navigating the evening as we had to figure it out for ourselves, not being familiar with this agency nor with Salzburg. Yes, you do get to ride the funicular as part of your ticket. However, there are no directions for finding the Concert Hall until you are at the top and then you have to look for a way in. We were glad that we arrived early so we could figure it out.
