It was one of the most wonderful things we have ever done - Walter was amazing - his knowledge - wow. The weather was perfect - the lunch the bus ride and of course the sleigh ride - just like something out of a fairy tale book - it was a winter wonderland at its very very best - 7 stars

The coach was easy to find and on the way to Ramsau where the sleighs were, the guide gave an interesting and funny commentary. We stopped in the village where everyone went in the restaurant for some lunch which varied from a bowl of soup to a full meal. Then back on the coach which took us to the sleighs. The horses were keen to go and we set off for a beautiful trip through the countryside with amazing views. We had a warm blanket over us and although it wasn’t the coldest time of the year we were pleased we had lots of layers of clothes on with coats hats and scarves. We stopped somewhere at an alpine restaurant for a hot chocolat or gluhwein and then carried on back to the coach. The return journey had beautiful views of a winter wonderland.

We went on this tour on Christmas Day 2017 and it was amazing! Apart from being blessed with exceptional weather, the tour operators exceeded all expectations. The bus ride to and from Ramsau am Dachstein was a tour on its own. Lisa (our guide) was very knowledgeable and shared interesting and funny facts about Salzburg and the areas we passed through with us. The sleigh ride itself was well worth every penny. The countryside is achingly beautiful! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone that enjoys both general city tours, as well as outdoor activities. We really loved it!
