If we have got the application in mobile, it is not clear why we have to go different place to pick the paper tickets. Nice is that we received a beautiful brochure about Venice together with paper tickets. Inside - if you want to see Pala d´Oro, it is another 5 EUR. Beautiful piece of art! If you want to have a splendid view from the balcony of St. Mark´s Basilika, it is another 7 EUR. Worth paying

Well worth visiting this amazing attraction. Beat the line is a definite need as the line is aways very long. Great for entry to the main basilica and a very detailed pre-downloaded audio guide is brilliant to go at your own pace. Extra €5 pp to get upto the first floor museum and access to the external balcony. Do it! It’s the best part. Would definitely recommend it. Just one caveat: we could only pick up the access tickets 1 x hour before entry time. That was a bit of a nuisance as we had other stuff planned that we wanted to do. It would have been more helpful if we could have picked up the tickets a few hours before our booked access time.

It is worth buying this activity most especially if you are planning to visit the basilica on peak times because the queue is so long. The skip the line will be your saviour! Avoid going there in the afternoon because the place is so busy! It took us a while to find the shop where we had to collect the actual ticket from so we were late for the time we booked. However, the man at the door was so kind to let us in even if we were half an hour late. You have to collect the tickets from across the basilica within the shops, about 5 minutes walks from the basilica. Make sure you also check the museum as well because there is a amazing artwork display and the view from the top of the basilica is also breath taking
