What people are saying about Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer, France

I’m a French teacher from Michigan and I have done many, many student trips, always with a professional tour organization. This time I wanted to do all the arrangements myself. I have never heard of Get Your Guide or Paris City Visions before so I was rather about nervous booking this tour for my large group. Throughout the process, the GYG & PCV teams were extremely prompt about responding to my questions. The guide (Iman) was efficient, informative and fun. I other than the mediocre lunch (it was cold), I would highly recommend this company. I booked a second tour for Versailles and, due to a worker’s strike, we had to reschedule. This process was a bit confusing as we were already in Paris and communication was not easy. Ana helped me negotiate the rebooking. Our tour is tomorrow so, fingers crossed that it will be as wonderfully organized as this one. Thank you for providing peace of mind and this opportunity to visit such remarkable places!

Amazing tour! Our tour guide Leila was terrific. She has a wealth of information about the sites, the War, troup movements, politics of the time and was not only informative but entertaining. Each stop gave us plenty of time to view and explore. Since the tide was out, we had the opportunity to walk on Omaha and Juno beaches and collect shells. There was plenty of time to walk the site of the American cemetery and Leila made a special unscheduled stop at the Canadian cemetery for us Canadians. Highly recommend this tour!

A very moving experience. The day was exactly as described and provided an unhurried view of the history of the battles at Normandy. The cemetery visit as the American flag was being lowered and Taps was played brought deep meaning to our tour. Antione was an exceptional and knowledgeable guide who took great care of some special needs in our group. A wonderful experience!

Very informative day touring and learning more about D-day. Seeing the beaches and Pointe du Hoc gave a much better appreciation for the challenges our soldiers overcame. The Normandy American Cemetery is an incredibly beautiful place and a very good tribute to our lost soldiers. It stirred a lot of emotions. Excellent day!

Lisa was an amazing tour guide, a true docent. Her knowledge of D-Day was extensive, entertaining, informative and heart rending. She was a delight!
