Paris: 3-Hour Chocolate & Patisserie Walking Tour

1. Paris: 3-Hour Chocolate & Patisserie Walking Tour

Join this 3-hour gourmet stroll in the famous Saint Germain des Prés neighborhood. Explore the art galleries, boutiques, romantic passages and, of course, pastries and chocolate shops. Your local guide will meet you in the heart of Saint Germain des Près. Along the way, he will share with you the history of the neighborhood and its artisans, as well as anecdotes about the pastries and chocolates that you will taste. In total, 8 tasting stops will await you along this gourmet route. You will begin with a visit to Debauve & Gallais, where you will be seduced by their chocolates as Marie Antoinette did in 1779. Since then, the love of chocolate in Paris, especially in this district, expanded. Some of France's best pastry and chocolate chefs, known for their chocolates and macarons such as Pierre Hermé, Patrick Roger, Yannick Lefort and many others, settled in Saint Germain des Près. In this mythical district, as well as the neighboring Latin Quarter, you will admire some of the most beautiful monuments on the Left Bank of Paris such as the Church of Saint Germain des Prés and the Church of Saint Sulpice. You will also tread the cobblestones of the charming rue de Buci and contemplate one of the institutions of Paris, the Café de Flore. During this visit, you will taste chocolates, macarons and pastries. Your guide will teach you everything there is to know about these sweets while enjoying a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate.

Paris through it’s less traveled pass is a fabulous experience. I have been here several times in the past but still learned new, interesting spots. Our guide was able to answer the questions asked of her, she knows the city well. I highly recommend this tour if you want to see the beautiful city of lights from a different window.
