Local guide was great - communication from the main operators could have been a lot clearer. Khu the local guide was wonderful - had a good understanding of the English language and the local people and way of life and could answer questions as well as impart information. Everything worked out well in the end but there was a lot of messages needed to ensure that we all ended up where we were meant to be and that bags got there too - like i say it all happened at the end of the day but there were a lot of messages back and forth to the Hanoi people. i dont think that it is worth including Cat Cat village in a tour like this - it can be easily accessed independently and is really more of a theme park than a village in my view - perhaps push for something you cant do alone. hotel, meals and overnight train were excellent standard Just needs better info re itinerary and what to expect.
