Istanbul: Bosphorus Cruise and Golden Horn Bus Tour
- Skip the ticket line
- Duration: 4 hours
We met our guide at the ticket office and then a bus too the ferry terminal. A quick bit of information while we were on the bus, and some good advice not to get scammed on the boat with food and drinks offered. There's brief commentary from a recording on the boat, and intermittent pieces of info spoken by the guide. It's not a full on comprehensive guide to every single thing along the way, but enough bits to keep you entertained. Definitely go when the weather is nice and enjoy the sights and sunshine. Sitting on the left is better but it was an open deck so you could see both sides fine no matter where you sit. You have to ask the boat staff to bring out more chairs!
Got the 3 day pass but felt like based on usage and timing of tours,I wasn’t able to fully maximize this package. I also felt like some of the euro equivalents per item were a little overinflated. The tour guides while fantastic, were little more than there to shepherd us there to sites and drop us off to explore on our own (Dolmabahçe Palace and grand bazaar just to name a couple). I would probably recommend the museum pass next time or purchase a fully guided tour to knock out all the main sites of Istanbul.
Guide was very informative. A suggestion for future trips: for those staying at hotels in the Taksim area, it would be easier to just ask them to meet the guide at Dolmavahçe palace instead of Sultanahmet.
Great option to save money, organise your holiday is istanbul. Will recommend the 5 day pass if you would want to explore the city... Will definitely but it again.
Worth taking the Tourist Pass if you intend to roam intensively through Istanbul. The guides provided were punctual and gave good tours of the sites.
