Some of the rooms were amazing but due to a no photo policy I actually can’t remember everything! I suppose they want you to buy the extras in the shop at the end. I did look at the publications but the pictures in them were really poor. Again rushed through - this seems to be a common theme in Madrid but the one upside to early entry was you were in & out before the crowds arrived so for this reason only I recommend booking early entry Don’t miss going to the armoury - this area was so interesting but again a no photo policy
I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for in depth knowledge of this beautiful Palace. Please not this event is not very stroller friendly. While you are allowed to bring a stroller during the tour, we decided to store it at the onsite locker for 1 Euro and we were very happy with our decision. There are a few flight of steps and some rooms are very compact.
Ended up with a fun group of Americans and Australians of varying ages. Miguel was a very entertaining, informative guide. The chosen restaurants all had different specialty tapas; I ate everything!! It was fun to explore a delicious side of Spanish culture with other people.
This tour was excellent and Sean our guide was an expert on both Spanish and Madrid history. He was very engaged and genuine in his pride and passion for his city and country. He even provided local restaurant recommendations per our request. Super nice tour!
It was terrific. Very happy we did this tour. (If the guide wore her microphone headset on her head instead of around her neck, her wonderful commentary would have been more consistently audible.)
