    Explore the Royal Palace of Madrid (Palacio Real de Madrid) with a licensed guide, and discover the former official residence of the Spanish Royal Family with your direct entry access. Also known as the "Palacio de Oriente" due to its close proximity to Plaza de Oriente on the east side of the palace, today the building is used exclusively for receptions, ceremonies, and official events. The Palace has an extensive collection of upholstery, porcelain, antique clocks, armor and works of art including paintings by Goya and Velázquez.

    You can also stroll through some of the private rooms where royalty lived, the throne room and the royal dining rooms, as well as the mirror room of Charles IV's reign. Admire the rich ornamentations of official rooms, each one revealing its own personality. Visiting the Royal Throne room, the Gala Dinner room and the Royal Chapel.

    A must of visiting Madrid, and more informative when going on a guided tour. Thank you to our guide Steffi. The Palace is simply stunning, don't forget to visit the Armory just inside the courtyard, it's fabulous. Whilst we were in the vacinity we popped next door to the Cathedral afterwards, free to enter.

    We did the English Speaking tour of the Royal Palace of Madrid with Khan. Khan was excellent. The History was so interesting and he also added extra stories of the Royal Family which made it more interesting. A well spent 1.5 hours. Highly recommend this tour.

    Jose was great!!! My family of seven and I all speak Spanish so I cannot comment on how well his English speaking skills are buuuttt I will say Jose was extremely knowledgeable about everything and gave us a wonderful tour, you can see his very proud of his home and loves telling you all about it. Our tour lasted about 2 hours, got a little lost on our way to find him, thankfully we got a phone call asking us where we were, so he waited a little more for us. I would definitely wear walking shoes since there is a lot of walking and standing.
