Fantastic and educational experience. Recommended to follow the guided tour as the guides tend to give more information and even some personal stories, which makes it more interesting compared to just reading the signs. However, it would be better if the guide could wait for everyone to assemble before telling us the information.

I’m from Australia and we don’t have anything like this there. So it was new to me. But I really enjoyed it! New Zealand is amazing. Wish you could spend more time in the mud baths, you’re only allocated 20 mins in those. But the spa (if you paid for it) you can spend as long as you want. We also turned up at the right time and was able to get a guided tour through Hells gate, which I’d recommend. Rather than just walking around aimlessly. There’s signs around to explain things but our guide was super knowledgeable and showed us some pretty cool stuff we wouldn’t otherwise have known. Very cool experience!

This was a great half day thing to do in Rotorua. The walk around the geothermal area was very interesting and I loved the chance to do the mud bath and sulphur pools!

Great experience, so many activities to do - worth the price. Please note although they say duration is 3 hours, you are able to spend as long as you want.

I would definitely go on a guided-tour. We learned SO much from our awesome guide. She was great about taking pictures for us, too!

Amazing experience, my first time and hopefully not my last!
