Your host will greet you at the meeting point and organize your group that will be led by an expert, professional and entertaining guide. After the security check at the Vatican entrance, the group will enjoy a marvelous view of the St Peter's Basilica from the Belvedere Terrace. By walking through the Four Gates passage you'll access the Pinecone Courtyard with the famous Pigna and the Sphere within the Sphere artwork by Pomodoro. Afterward, we reach the Gallery of Candelabra, the first of the three Vatican Museums' Galleries where you can discover amazing antique statues, meticulously decorated ceilings and floors embellished with precious lapis lazuli. The Gallery of Maps, with its "gold" ceiling and maps painted in detail, dating from the 16th century, will unveil an incredible work by Ignazio Danti. In the Gallery of Tapestries, you will discover the amazing work by Raphael, created for the Sistine Chapel. The tapestries are a masterpiece of the Flemish weavers. You will get stunned in the Raphael Rooms, made of 4 rooms, where you'll find breathtaking works by this artist. Among others, you'll see very close Raphael's spectacular School of Athens. The cherry on top will be the Sistine Chapel where you will discover and enjoy the view of Michelangelo's ceiling (with The Creation) and the amazing Last Judgment.
