Full description
Learn how to make authentic local pasta from a professional chef that started to cook with her Grandma. You will meet in the Rome city center, at which point you will take a walk through the lively and vibrant atmosphere of one of the oldest areas of the city: the Jewish Quarter. Once there, you will have access a very special restaurant, which is located into a historical building that was once a house. Here you can learn the history and legends which surround the Jewish Quarter, as well as learn of its unique food style over lots of chatting. Seasonal food is a must in Rome, and in the winter class you’ll have the opportunity to learn how to peel artichokes to be cooked in the Jewish Style, which is one of the highlights of Roman cuisine. In the summer class, you’ll learn how to prepare zucchini flowers (or any other amazing fresh vegetable) to make the original “fritto romano”. At the conclusion of your class, you will be able to taste the amazingly baked ciambelline al vino, the famous crunchy donuts made with four simple ingredients.
