Full description

Head off on a Roman adventure filled with history and beautiful locations. Meet up with your guide to check out the iconic Vatican Museums with skip-the-line entry. Marvel at the rooms of the Sistine Chapel, break for lunch, and then visit the Colosseum. End with a stop at the Trevi Fountain.

Meet your guide just steps away from the Vatican and enjoy priority entrance as you skip the lines and head straight inside the Vatican Museums. See the major works of art ranging from Ancient Greek and Roman sculptures to Renaissance masterpieces.

Much of the tour will be dedicated to the rooms of Raphael and the extraordinary ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. After a break for lunch, regroup at the Colosseum and enjoy fast track entry into the vast arena, the Icon of Rome built in 72 A.D.

Once inside, your guide will paint a picture of the Gladiator games that took place in the Roman Empire’s most impressive arena. With the Colosseum behind you, travel even further back in time as you enter the Roman Forum.

Learn of the legendary founding of Rome on the Palatine Hill and how a she-wolf rescued and nursed the young twins Romulus and Remus. Change gears and fast forward many centuries as you arrive at the Trevi Fountain, without which no visit to Rome is complete.

We recently did the Rome in a Day tour, while the day was busy, we had an excellent time. Tour guides were knowledgeable, interesting and very helpful. Would recommend this tour, but if you have more time, take a couple of days, as the one day certainly was full on, but we loved it.

Very informative, tricky to locate meeting spot

I thought Sarah, our tour guide for Coloseum was great. She was so knowledgable. And the Vatican tour was great too. Wish the meeting spot was more specific and couldn't find them. Had to make phone calls, and from America, can be costly. The guide waited for us. Thank you. Another thing that is not told up front, we had to take a 10euro cab to get from Coloseum area tour to Vatican our Vatican tour. It wasn't a big deal, we just weren't expecting to do that.

Excellent tour

We had a very good tour especially the one given by Giuliano at the Vatican. He was organized, knowledgable and thorough. His personality was wonderful as well. Sarah was good for the morning tour of Ancient Rome but was a little bit rushed. My only suggestion is to make it a little more clear regarding the meeting places. We showed up at the Piazza Venezia but since our guide was running late we had no idea if we were in the right spot at the piazza and didn't know what to actually look for. I would recommend being specific and saying to meet at the right side of the front steps and look for the guide to carrying a certain color umbrella. And for meeting at the office you should give clear detailed directions as it is tucked away in the alley and not that easy to find. But we had a good experience and would definitely recommend your company. Thanks.
