Explore the Trajan Markets archaeological complex in Rome, which was once the commercial center of the city during the Roman Imperial Age. After exchanging your voucher, watch a 25-minute video that gives a recreation of how the Trajan Markets looked during the height of Imperial Rome. Then, explore the site at your own pace. Discover the different forums which served as trading and meeting points in the city, including Caesar’s Forum, Augustus’ Forum, Nerva’s Forum, and the Templum Pacis. See the ruins of a 17th-century cistern, indicating the variety of functions the area has had throughout the centuries. After exploring the ruins, admire a collection of artifacts from ancient cultures and amphorae in the Fori Imperiali Museum.
