Full description
Hop aboard a comfortable, air-conditioned minibus and start your journey down to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Pompeii. Upon arrival at Pompeii, breeze past the long lines with your Skip-the-Line ticket and enter into this time capsule of the ancient Roman world, where your local expert guide will give you a guided tour of these marvelously preserved ruins. Go to Positano, where the houses tumble down the hillside, and stroll among the boutique stores. Purchase some of the local limoncello liqueur, visit the Church of Santa Maria Assunta or people watch from a restaurant terrace. After some free time and lunch (own expense) in Pompeii, the tour will continue further south along the picturesque seaside roads of the Amalfi Coast where your breath will be taken away by the spectacular coastlines as the mountains cascade into the sea and romantic villages climb up the mountains like grapevines.

Excellent...Excellent...Excellent. 3 qualities of a tour guide are: 1. Should make connection with each traveler 2. Have thorugh knowledge 3. Good sense of humour Luca (our tour guide) possessed all 3 and many others....He was able to connect to each one onboard the bus and had very good knowledge not only related to the tour but provided insights about other history as well. Showed many interisting things and facts enroute and ofcourse, had a good sense of humour. It was Luca who started the tour at the mentioned time and we didn't have to wait at either stop as he was very good in communicatating the timelines. 3 qualities of good driver are: 1. Focussed 2. Perfect manouverability 3. Punctuality Carlos (Our driver) had all these qualities in an exceptional way plus veryhandsome and smart ;) The tour mentioned 13 hours and Carlo brought us back exactly in 13 hours and that is punctuality. To sum, we were in very very safe hands. thanks

Excellent day from the pick up to the final drop off. Lovey coach and guide to make the most of the initial journey to Pompeii. The stops had been planned well to a mid way location to a very clean and well equipped rest area. Our guide Gabriella was very entertaining during the journey and the guide at Pompeii was excellent and addressed us all as his family for the tour. The coastal tour was also very good but he time ant Positano was brief so please just treat as a taster for this beautiful location. This is also a full day out so after leaving Rome around 7:30am we did not return until 20:30 but this was due to two of the group going awol after the tour of Pompeii but Gabriella made every effort to find them.

Our guide Roberto, & driver Antonio were absolutely phenomenal. Roberto has a vast array of knowledge, and I could listen to him tell us stories and info all day long! As for Antonio, he had phenomenal driving skills around some of those very tight Italian roads! All in all, I highly recommend these two, but I am sure the other drivers and guides are just as amazing. The only reason I have NOT given this tour 5 stars, is because of the completely rushed Pompei tour. Now, I completely understand there is obviously a time restriction when you are visiting these places from Rome, but if you are an avid history fan, especially with Pompei, I would NOT recommend this tour due to the short visit here. The time felt like it wasn’t used efficiently, rather than spending more time fluffing around with food and toilets, it could’ve been used to do a more thorough tour. However, this is jot the fault of the guides, and usually people on tour that can delay things.
