Off season we had a great experience with the gladiator school. We basically received a private lesson for our two boys for two hours and Piero (aka Marcus Aurelius) was super engaging, entertaining, fully bought in and ya four boys totally sucked in to the gladiator school. It definitely helped that we had done the amphitheater Flavius tour two days prior and that we had watched most of the Gladiator movie. Constructive criticism would be to provide more info directly to clients so that they know what to expect: off the beaten path, out of town, down an unmarked road, in the woods and MANY mosquitos. My daughter and I were eaten alive for two hours as we watched the boys train to be gladiators.

I‘m so glad to have booked this tour! Our guide Maria was really wonderful, very informative and could always keep my 6 year old son entertained by giving him things to look for and small prizes. It was helpful also to have a guide especially as the normal route from the Sistine Chapel to St. Peter’s basilica was closed due to Covid, and she really knew her away around where exactly to go.We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves while learning, I can only give her and this tour the highest recommendations!

Amazing experience. We had the best time ever. The driver was on time and very nice. The guide Francesco was very fun and engaging, all of us loved him. If you are looking for a stress free experience this is the tour to book( also booked the Colosseum with Private tours of Rome and asked for Francesco again). Best tour in Rome for families.

We booked the tour for 48 hours and split the city into 2 days and not worry about transportation! At the same time they brief about historical landmarks as they pass through it! they have a total of 8 stops where can board and exit the bus!

Excellent, brief history lesson of the Roman military and gladiators. The lessons were a great introduction into the fighting of professional gladiators. There was no demonstration by other cast members, which was disappointing.
