We enjoyed a terrific day tour to Evora with our guide Joao Dickmann. Joao was super engaging, easy to converse with and extremely knowledgeable about all things Portugal including Evora history and the wonderful sights we experienced there representing Roman times, to the Moors and finally Portuguese rule. The van was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and the trip each way was 1 hour plus. Memorable sights included the city hall with Roman ruins, Giraldo main square, the Roman temple, walls and aqueduct, Se cathedral and the bone chapel. We enjoyed a simple and delicious lunch of a traditional bifana sandwich followed by rich and tasty local desserts at Pastelaria Conventual Pão de Rala. I highly recommend this tour, you will love it!
