Riga: Beer or Cider Bike Tour

1. Riga: Beer or Cider Bike Tour

Go sightseeing in a completely different way on a beer or cider bike tour through the heart of Riga. Explore the beautiful streets of the city’s Old Town while pedaling, drinking, and chatting with friends.   Your English-speaking guide and driver will greet you at the meeting point and take you to the waiting beer bike. Once seated and ready to start, you will be served your choice of beer, cider or prosecco — and then the fun begins.   The bike holds up to 15 passengers and is easy enough for even 4 people to pedal. While riding around the Old Town with drinks in hand, you can listen to your favorite music and turn on LED lights for a party on wheels.   After an hour of taking in the sights, head to one of the restaurants near the finishing point for a nice meal.

Riga Explorer Bike Tour

2. Riga Explorer Bike Tour

On our Riga Explorer Bike Tour, we want to show you Riga beyond the Old Town, the parts of the city that you might never find on your own. We are local residents of the city, passionate about where we live, and we want to share it with you, warts and all. We'll meet you at a convenient point, pick up some comfotable bikes and head off to explore the city. The Moscow suburb awaits, an area of the city full of history and the site of the Jewish ghetto during the Nazi occupation. Its decaying wooden houses stand in sharp contrast to the gloss of the Old Town or the splendour of the Art Nouveau buildings. We'll ride through the heart of Riga, where most Ridzenieki (the people of Riga) like to hang out, and on to the Great Cemetery, now a strange mix of graveyard and park, before returning to our starting point.  This is a great way to see Riga, get some exercise, help the environment and learn more about what the city is like today, and how it got this way. Join our Riga Explorer Bicycle Tour and see the true Riga.

Jurmala: Sea Resort Bike Tour with Guide

3. Jurmala: Sea Resort Bike Tour with Guide

Start the tour in Jurmala by getting kitted out with a bike and helmet and listening to some brief instructions. Set off to explore the special cycling routes of Jurmala which are designed to make biking easy and safe.  Make your first stop at the Turtle Monument located on Riga Beach near the historical Baltic Beach Hotel. Admire the architecture of this historic bathing house which was built in 1907.  Then, bike along the sea coast or street on the other side of the dunes. Marvel at the wooden villas which were built in the first half of the 20th-century. Observe the soviet-style architecture of these now private beach houses which reflects the popularity and wealth of this resort town.  Next, stop at the historical Dzintari Concert Hall which was built in 1936. Learn about the world-famous opera singers who have performed here and the building's glorious acoustics that were well known across Europe and USSR throughout the 20th-century.  Arrive at the nearby park and climb up the tower where you will have the chance to take pictures of Jurmala from an aerial perspective. Continue along the route into the quiet Jurmala streets lined with more historic and contemporary villas.  Make a short pitstop at the Lielupe Fishing Museum. Visit the exhibition and learn about the fishing industry in the 19th-century. See the black sauna "pirts" (a type of local bath), ice cellar, fish smoking house, and the historic thalassotherapy center which used seawater as a form of therapy. On the way back, peddle along the dunes, until you arrive at the start point.

A nice tour outside the tourist center

When does this tour reach areas that cannot be explored on foot? The gight told us a lot about the districts of the city of Riga. It would have been perfect if each participant had received a bottle of water. What to say because it is a pity to see when this tour reaches areas that cannot be explored on foot. We had a great time! Our guide took us to very interesting places, had great stories and detailed information. They made sure we were properly fitted for our bikes and had rain jackets since the weather was a bit funky. Even with a little rain, it was a fun ride. They also helped with suggestions to where else to visit and places to eat. Awesome team!

Amazing experience and plenty of beer! Alex and Laura were really friendly and accommodating, we had a lot of fun! Be prepared to put the work in pedalling you can even play your own music while you tour around Riga

We were lucky enough to have a private tour (just us and Marcus, the guide). Took a great route and got to see places we wouldn't have been too without this tour!

A fun, nice event. There were two of us, but we got into a bigger group. Both wheels would not have been able to move.
