What people are saying about Ribeiro Frio

Our driver Antonio picked us up in Canico with a little delay. There were 4 of us in the Range Rover which was perfect. From there we went to the various viewpoints. At the beginning he still had to warm up to us, but that quickly subsided and we had a lot of fun. The off-road route in particular had it all. We were shaken up a lot and almost missed the abyss. In Santana we had a 1.5 hour stay to eat and explore. We hadn't taken any food with us and looked for something in town. Then we went to a rum factory, where we could try and buy rum. From there we went to our last stop, Ponta de São Lourenco and then back to the hotel. We were out and about from 10:00 a.m. to around 4:30 p.m.

Great experience with a friendly guide who was very motivated to do this tour himself and always had a casual saying up his sleeve. Pickup and transfer back to Caniço went smoothly. The sections of the tour were real highlights (the time at the Pico de Arrieiro might have been a bit tight) and the off-road part was really fun! One should not be afraid of being shaken vigorously. In the sugar and rum factory we were able to taste different types of rum. And finally we enjoyed the breathtaking view over the northeast coast of Madeira from the Miradouro do Caniçal.

It was a very fun experience, especially during the off roads. Our guide also stopped us at a rum factory which was part of the tour, and we where given the opportunity to taste different rums. In addition, we also went high on a mountain where we could see everything below us and it was beautiful!

Excellent day, our driver, Hugo, makes us share the most beautiful points of view of the island while conversing in perfect French. The 4x4 (and the experienced driver) are a real plus and allow access to remote places. Optional, very nice restaurant for a low price. I recommend.

Absolutely amazing tour. Our tour guide Spencer made them unique. Really - there is absolutely nothing to improve. Highly recommended!!
