Our day trip around Western Madeira was very enjoyable; we got to see plenty of spots that were planned and some special ones that weren't. We had terribly rainy weather throughout the day unfortunately, but our guide did his best to make sure the trip was enjoyable and fun. If you do this tour, I would highly recommend 1) getting yourself some poncha if you haven't –– there's a few spots along the tour that were fantastic, and 2) bringing your bathing suit and getting into the swimming pools at Porto Moniz, which is where you stop for lunch. We decided to do it regardless of the bad weather and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

I enjoyed the trip very much. It was a small group of 8 people, so it had the feeling of a private tour at a small price. Participants of other tours in big buses envied us. Our guide Nelson shared a lot of interesting info with us and makes his tours a lot of fun. In addition to the planned itinerary, there were plenty of insider tips and spontaneous stops that the entire group enjoyed. Nelson The only minor criticism would be the tinted windows of the minivan. Great in the sun, but without even better to see everything and take photos.

We were travelling without a rental car so this trip was a perfect opportunity to experience the Western Madeira with a car. We visited multiple places and saw many amazing spots. Also views from the car were breathtaking. Our guide (Guillermo) was very informative, funny and easygoing guy! Totally worth of the money :)
