Full description
Experience the scenic beauty of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula on a bus tour from Reykjavik, and discover why it is often referred to as “Iceland in Miniature.” Depart the city center and travel along the west coast. Enter a landscape of white and black sand beaches, cliffs full of nesting birds, spectacular mountains and volcanic craters. Discover the area's incredibly rich trout lakes and salmon rivers, see lush valleys and unique harbors in charming fishing villages. It all begins with the Snæfellsnes glacier at the peak of Snæfellsjökull volcano, the highest mountain of the peninsula. Experience first-hand why this majestic landscape has captured the imagination for many years, and why it inspired Jules Verne to write his classic science fiction novel “Journey to the Center of the Earth.”

This excursion is a marvel!!! Despite the high number of km covered and the duration of the excursion (12 hours), the guide (Kalli) stopped us at many spots where we could observe: seals, waterfalls, black sand beaches, with cliffs, mountains with eternal snow… The views were magnificent from start to finish! Only negative point: the stop point for lunch. The restaurant in which we were dropped off was overwhelmed and did not even serve us after 45 minutes of waiting when we had ordered a simple fish & chips! So remember to take a picnic so as not to be bothered Apart from that, the excursion was the most beautiful we have done in Iceland! Do not miss !

The most stunning tour

The tour was stunning, with walks in places of many colors, waters, mountains and beautiful views, only attention when buying the tour with Get Your Gide all the tours are with the wrong time information, we had this tour rescheduled because of this and fortunate that we had free day to rebook and the Reykjavik Excursion company changed but we lost the option of doing the tour in Spanish and had to do in English..

Beautiful broad views of Iceland landscape

Dillon was a great and knowledgeable guide. We made many stops and saw the beauty of Iceland, including a black sand beach, volcano, glacier, basalt columns, and so much more. He spoke about the horses, water and land birds, and the plants. We were so lucky to have a sunny day. I would definitely recommend this day tour to anyone visiting Iceland.
