Full description
The Golden Circle tour allows you to visit some of Iceland’s most stunning sights, starting with the Geysir Hot Springs where the Strokkur Geyser shoots water up to 30 meters (98 ft.) into the air every 4-8 minutes in an impressive display of nature’s forces. The visit continues with Gullfoss (Golden Falls) waterfall, created by the river Hvítá, which tumbles and plunges into a crevice some 32 meters (105 ft.) deep. The tour also includes the historical and geological wonder that is Thingvellir National Park, where the American and Eurasian tectonic plates pull apart at a rate of a few centimeters per year. Additionally, the tour includes a visit to the idyllic Friðheimar greenhouse cultivation center, where you can learn about the magic behind growing delicious, pesticide-free tomatoes and cucumbers with the aid of geothermal heat, which Iceland has in abundance.

Tour worth taking

We started with a giod pickup driver to the excursion start point. Gave us handy tips for first time tourists to the country. We had a great guide, Eric who also happened to be a journalist. Excellent factual commentary. The tour timings and duration were sufficient and did not require one to hurry up.

Beautiful, a must in Iceland!

Very good organization for the pick up, but do not be late! Shuttles always go ahead! The sites visited are beautiful and are worth a visit, but the big negative is the bus .. and yes it is far from reykjavik so we spend most of the day on the road. Once on the sites you are free to do as you want; you just have to be present at the bus at the time given by the guide otherwise he leaves without you (yes, yes, but he returns to get you after) satisfied overall but not a fan of this side too tour operator, but in view From the winter season difficult to rent a car (snow and storm), part of the road was closed and we could not see the national park thingvellir .. pity, but the weather changes very quickly in Iceland.
