Full description

Embark on a bus tour of Iceland’s legendary Golden Circle and soak in the thermal waters of the Secret Lagoon. Explore the southwest, including the spectacular Geysir area, Gullfoss Waterfall, and Þingvellir National Park.

After pickup in central Reykjavik, head to the Secret Lagoon and have 1.5 hours to unwind in the thermal waters and admire the peaceful surroundings.

Continue to the active hot spring of Strokkur and watch it spout steaming water 30 meters every 8 minutes. Arrive at Gullfoss Waterfall and feel the spray of the glacial Hvítá River as it plummets down into a 32-meter-deep crevice.

Next, visit Þingvellir National Park, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates are pulling apart at a rate of a few centimeters every year. Þingvellir was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004.

The trip was with a local tour service provide called Bus Travels and i must say the tour guide David was a very nice guide. He tells you all the insights about the places u visit and also appropriate time to see places. Secret Lagoon was also nice but i must say this would have been added at the last activity and not the first so that it would have taken away all the tiredness of the journey. But nevertheless the trip was amazing.

Incredible experience. The guide was amazing and was so knowledgeable, always made you feel like you came first and any questions you had he would have the answer. Also went out of the tour to visit a local farm who he was friends with to see newborn lamb (12 hours old lamb) and did another mini stop to get some incredible scenic photographic pictures. Also had his personal recommended tours to do and activities. A very long day but this tour is one where you will not be on the bus as much as others in Iceland. Where other tours I’ve been on they have been very bus heavy with rides between locations up ranging from 40 minutes to an hour drive, this one was around 30 minutes between places and included long stops in those stops for example: Secret lagoon we stopped for about 2 hours. Definitely recommend this tour to get an idea of what to expect on others and maybe to have a chance to talk to one of their guides to see what you would enjoy more from others tours.

Breathtaking, just being on the bus and looking out at the scenery is beautiful enough but every stop we made was just amazing. The weather was beautiful and our tour guide explained everything in detail and answered any questions we had, he was super kind and funny aswell. Also a super nice way to meet other travellers
