We visited The Whales of Iceland Exhibition straight after a Whale watching cruise which gave a better insight into the Whales. The exhibition is a short walk from the Old Harbour where the cruises are based so the two activities compliment each other. The exhibits are life size and give an impressive idea of the scale of these incredible mammals.

Very nice and good to introduce

The exhibition really helped to show you how big and how majestic the whales are. It is incredible that there are such great creatures in the world. Unfortunately the exhibition was a bit small. But it was distributed free coffee, tea and water. You definitely have to see that in Reykjavik.

Good activity with the family.

Our whale watching activity was canceled due to bad weather, so we came to visit this museum. Entrance fee a little expensive, the museum seems very small, in a pre-manufactured, but we have not regretted this family visit. The models are well made, there are good explanations for each animal, movies, VR headsets. Hot drinks are offered with appetizers, we were able to consume our own sandwiches on site, and visit at our own pace. There are also activities for the kids, which our 3.5 year old daughter really enjoyed.
