It was a fun and scenic ride through snowy mountains and icy creeks. We were able to experience a tolt, which is a fast-paced walk. I would liken it to a jog. I wish there would have been a little more instruction on how to get in tune with the horse during the tolt. Other than that, everything was great! The horses knew where to go and what they were doing.

This was fantastic. Pickup on time and the staff were very engaging and professional. We felt really safe ( I had been on a horse once 20 years ago). The horses were wonderful and our trip ( they made sure we were wearing good quality warm jumpsuits and helmets) took us through the snowy icy lava flows with the snow falling. A great stop for pictures and a ‘tolt’ back - a horse fast walk - which everybody felt safe to do. All in all a wonderful experience, thank you!

Brilliant experience, we loved it! The horses are so beautiful and know exactly what to do. I would not hesitate to recommend for beginnings on the fence about booking this. The horses are all aged over 10 years old, are very calm and it is clear they know the route & obey commands from the guides. Our group included 7 people and we had 3 guides led by Emily, they were all great. It was super cold, they provided a snow suit which I would recommend wearing and of course a helmet. Don't forget gloves and warm socks and boots, my feet were cold afterwards so the underfloor heating inside was great! About halfway there is a photo spot, we stayed on our horses and the guides took our phones to take photos. We were then asked if we wanted to try the tolt, all of our group wanted to do it and it was great fun. We did it a few times on the way back. They have an option to split the group if anyone wants to stay at a walking speed. Thanks to all the Solhestar team, we really enjoyed it :)
