This has gone down as one of our most unusual, thrilling and exciting experiences ever. Alex, our guide, was fantastic. We had never been on ATV before but he was excellent and making us feel comfortable. I was a little nervous at first but soon got used to it and then it became the most thrilling way to see the extradoinary landscape outside Reykjavík. Not for the front of heart but you don’t have to be a daredevil either. Do be very careful going round some of the steeper corners and uneven ground. Just take those slowly and try to pick the most even track when there are bumps. Driving through streams, seeing wild sheep and the Moreland with fields of purple Lupin at midnight and it’s still dusk is going to remain a highlight forever. Safari offer one of the most unusual and worthwhile trips and we can’t wait to come back. Thank you.
The trip was well-organised and the guide fantastic - polite, knowledgeable, calm, and the right balance of chatty and giving you time to talk among your group. The orientation's in their base just outside Reykjavik, where you can leave stuff safely, and the ride starts on actual roads (scary in one sense but nice to start on good conditions while getting used to the bike). The route was great, quite challenging in parts if you're new to quad biking, but the guide was great when one of our party became uncomfortable with it (you can always be a passenger). The stops at the top of each peak gave amazing views and a nice break to pause and rest from the exhilaration of the ride. There's no better feeling and I wish I could do this every week! Highly recommend quad biking there and this company in particular.
Great day from start to finish. We hired a quad each (4 of us) and the quads were amazing to drive. Our guide for the morning, known as...…….. Sir Kaktuz made the day even more enjoyable. The quads were incredibly fast and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Then the lava cave in the afternoon was very interesting, I'm afraid that the name of the lady guide has slipped my mind. She was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions relating to the lava cave. I will always remember switching off our head torches and being plunged into complete darkness whilst our guide told us a story about Icelandic Santa Clauses. Great day! :)
We booked for 6 people and all agreed this was the best tour of our trip! Fun filled day with breathtaking views - have to also say our guide was brilliant (sadly can't remember his name) he was friendly, knowledgable and definitely made the experience a memorable one. 10 out of 10
Great tour. Very knowledgeable guide. Customizes the tour to the participants’ interests. So much fun! Highly recommend this tour! Excellent photo opportunities, including seeing whale bones on the black sand beach.
