Full description
Make the catch of a lifetime on a sea angling adventure perfect for all ages. Head out on a great boat and find the best troves of cold water fish including cod, halibut, haddock, rockfish, and pollock. Setting off from Reykjavik's Old Harbor, you will head out to Faxaflói Bay, where your experienced guide knows exactly where to angle for the best catch. Along the way, you'll be treated to spectacular Icelandic ocean views, and often guests will spot puffins hanging out on their "puffin island." And even if you've never been out sea angling before, your expert fishing team will help you learn the ropes quickly so you'll be reeling in the fish in no time! Whatever you catch on your 2.5-3 hours on the water can be barbecued right after. Sink your teeth into your reward! If you want to show off your catch to friends and family back home, you can also arrange a special flight case, which lets you bring your catch away from the special tour. Fishing in Iceland is a memory that will last a lifetime, and whether you're a professional fisherman or it's your first time out on the seas, it's a day filled with fun, beauty, and the chance to eat some tasty fish!

The meeting location was super easy (the harbor) to find. The mates talked to our party while heading out to fish. Once we began fishing, we were able to do the complete (cast, reel and set hook) on our own. Several times we pulled in two fish at a time. 90% of the catch was big fish. Awesome outfit!

this a fantastic fishing trip. We caught lots of fish, no real work here, just cast out and reel in. The boat ride was fun, the fishing was relaxed, and the team cleaned and cooked a great dinner for us. I highly recommend this trip. If you have an evening, go fishing!

Even though it was unclear where the tour starts (app/confirmation said different than Special tour’s Info office) and we were only offered rain coats (=not anything warmer) to protect us from fish gunk and rain, the trip itself was a success. We went to the Info office, on Grandagardur, at 4:30 to get a ”receipt” to be given on the boat (named ’Rosin’, that was waiting in the marina) and then entered the boat. Once on the sea, the guide instructed us on how to use the rods and in minutes we were getting big cods, one after another. The biggest fishes were kept and the captain grilled them and we ate them with potatoes and sauces. (We only caught cods). Dress warmly and you’ll love this trip.
