Full description
After an early wake-up and pick-up in one of the coolest cities of Europe, take a great 10-hour tour to see Iceland. Make your first stop at waterfall Seljalandsfoss, with no doubt one of the most famous one in the country. This is a waterfall you can walk behind, with a drop off 65 meters and a part of the river Seljalandsá which has its origins underneath the glacier Eyjafjallajökull - the famous volcano that erupted in 2010 and put the world's flights on hold.  Head to the stunning waterfall Skógafoss, one of the largest at a width of 25 meters and drop off 60 meters. It can also be seen from above as there are footsteps that lead above the waterfall. Stop in Reynisfjara for lunch. Try Icelandic meat-soup or many other dishes. Take a walk on a black sand beach and maybe see  puffins if you are lucky. After that, drive to the Village of Vík for a short stop. Sólheimajökull Glacier is between the volcanoes Katla and Eyjafjallajökull, and a part of the larger Mýrdalsjökull glacier. Be dropped off in the parking lot and take a 15 to 20-minute walk along the glacier. On the way back to the city, hear the stories about all the trolls in the rocks, the elves and stop at some secret places, before you arrive back in Reykjavik at around 6:00 PM.

Our group of 9 had a great day with Bus Driver Annie! It was a pretty small bus (we had close to half of it to ourselves) which made it feel pretty personal. Everything we saw was absolutely breathtaking - several different waterfalls (all extremely unique), a glacier, a few villages, and (probably the highlight) a black sand beach and cave, which is easily recognizable from Game of Thrones. Annie was a fantastic guide, giving us so much background on everything we saw, Iceland's history, recommendations in Reykjavik, a taste of different Icelandic music, and a witty sense of humor. Would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see a lot of Iceland in a single day!

What a fantastic day we had! The driver and tour guide was wonderful. He really did work hard in giving us the best information on Iceland and how to get the most out of every stop. He even gave us local food and drink tastings. Small bus, very comfortable and allowed us to stop at photo opportunities a large coach would be unable to do. The trip is value for money as packs so much in one day. So this gets five star for us.

I was looking for a South Coast tour that packed the most into the day, because we are active so we wanted to see it all. Guide did add an extra waterfall about 500 meters from the one all the tour busses go to, Gljafraboi was the highlight of the day! Walking to the glacier was important and impressive. The Black Sand beach was wild! I was disappointed that Vik isn’t what is seems in the guidebooks. We were there in Mid-March, for weeks many trips were canceled, the wind is crazy, our guide checked weather vigilantly, but not alarmingly. He really watched out for our safety, but made sure we got the best day possible. I was impressed with the small tour group and would use them again. Because of COVID they couldn’t offer food, but adding food on the bus and a local beer/soda would really round out the day.
