Full description

Discover the raw natural beauty of the Golden Circle and the dazzling wonders of the Icelandic northern lights on this combined tour from Reykjavik. Travel in a spacious bus to Gullfoss waterfall and the Þingvellir National Park. Take a night bus tour to search for the northern lights.

Depart Reykjavik to experience the geothermal landscapes of Iceland's legendary Golden Circle. See boiling water spout from the earth at the great geysers of Geysir and Strokkur in the Haukadalur Valley. Experience the dramatic cascades of Gullfoss waterfall, fed by the glacial waters of the Hvítá River. Get different views of the impressive water as it plunges into a 32-meter deep crevice. Reconnect with nature in Þingvellir National Park, and discover where the tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia are pulling apart. Return to Reykjavík for a few hours at leisure before your evening Northern Lights tour. Head back out after dark to look for the dancing lights in the night sky. Also known as the Aurora Borealis, the natural phenomenon is caused by the interaction of particles from the sun with the upper atmosphere near the North Pole.

Very happy with the whole experience. We decided to book the Golden Circle and Northern Lights combo on the same day and it worked well for us. We had a couple of hours between the two so we could get to our hotel, relax, hace a bite to eat and get ready for the Northern Lights.

Very nice excursion when you have little time in Iceland. Good organization, the timing was perfect to arrive in time for the sunset on the lake of the reserve - superb - without us having the impression of having to rush. The guide was pleasant and competent, during the trip she told us about the fauna, flora, history and the Icelandic way of life. The bus is heated. The evening outing for the Northern Lights is not done with the same guide, she was very good too, very professional. The observation site is not terrible: a deserted lava field not far from the airport (we can see the lights in the distance) with a van selling waffles and hot chocolate. (Very) warm and windproof clothing to be expected. Fortunately, it is possible to take refuge on the bus if you are too cold. A second outing is offered (for free) if it was not possible to see the aurora, which is nice. In short, I recommend this company.

Circle was really nice. Northern lights was a horror. Go to same place each time. Guides get out and hang out with eachother. Do not work with people and help them look or give help. Dont try a different place if area is dead. Chance of seeing even on a good night 1% with them. Circle trip was awesome as well as guides and bus
