Full description

Spend the day exploring the dramatic landscapes of the south of Iceland along with its coastline on a full-day sightseeing tour from Reykjavik. Along the way, discover a variety of rivers, waterfalls, mountains, and glaciers.

Following a pickup from listed hotels or guesthouses by bus in central Reykjavík, travel to the gorgeous waterfalls of Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. At the waterfall at Seljalandsfoss, walk behind the cascades and feel the spray on your face.

Continue to Skógafoss to marvel at the 60-meter drop. Pass the black sand beaches of the southern coast and enjoy the power of the sea.

Visit the glacier snout of Sólheimajökull to see an outlet glacier of Mýrdalsjökull. Admire the ever-changing feat of nature up-close. Then, look at the basalt sea stacks at Reynisfjara, Iceland’s southernmost village just south of the Mýrdalsjökull glacier, before returning to Reykjavik.

The tour was brilliant however the same cannot be said for the guide! I didn’t catch her name but she was very abrupt and at some points rude! She almost left some members of the group behind as they were 5 mins late getting back to the bus! I can’t imagine the panic of those people! We booked this tour last minute and I’m so glad we did, all the stops were amazing, especially walking being the waterfall at the last stop! Just a shame about the guide.

Fabulous trip. I originally was meant to do this tour on Wednesday the 23rd of November but due to extreme weather we had to call it off after the first stop but thats just Iceland weather for you! Our guides name was Joseph and he was very nice and made the day as eventful as possible regardless of the circumstances. I then got to reschedule at no extra cost for the 25th November with a guide called Geri who was also very nice. The weather was much better, it was even sunny! And the whole day turned out great and eventful

The south of Iceland tour was spectacular, despite some rainy and very windy weather. The sights - two waterfalls, black sand beach, glacier - were amazing and well worth the trip. The bus was comfortable with Wi-Fi, and the tour guide and bus driver were very professional. There was adequate time to enjoy the sights, and the restaurant where we stopped for lunch was nice, too.
