What I loved the most was the service! Had to go out a second time as we did not get to see the lights on first try. It was super easy, quick phone call and they booked us in right away, made sure we had all the details, and even set us up with a photographer tour because our small group was not available anymore

This was the absolute highlight of our trip. I have to say that we got extremely lucky, and the Northern Lights are definitely not guaranteed, but we saw the most stunning display of them and had the best time. We started by taking a quick stop at the Northern Lights museum which was really informative and also had some great information about camera settings for catching the lights, then we got in the van and made our way out of Reykjavik. We ended up stopping at two different spots when our driver spotted the lights, and spent a good amount of time at each. The benefit of a small group (less than 15 people) was that there was no one walking in front of your camera! Our tour guide was very informative and helpful, and got some excellent shots of us in front of the northern lights. I’d do this again in a heartbeat, I highly recommend!

We started later at 9.30 as there was a better forecast for 11-12. There was a problem with the first bus but the driver quickly got help and a replacement bus arrived within 10 minutes. We drove north an parked in a dark spot. The lights arrived! Not as colourful as I hoped but wonderful anyway. The driver was lovely, so helpful and patient especially with some quite demanding passengers. After an hour or so and some hot chocolate we were driven back to the city by 2am.
